IT'S COMING OFF

My name is Kimberly and I work here at Hanover Raceway.  Over the past six years I have become aware of an organization called Harness The Hope that sets up an information tent during one of our Saturday afternoon dates each July. Harness the Hope organizes events and initiatives to raise funds directed toward causes that enable breast cancer research, awareness and support services for cancer warriors and survivors.

I am going to be 55 this year and am a survivor of cancer. I have had cancer 4 times three different types. Breast cancer is not one of them but it’s near and dear to me as I have family members that have had this type of cancer. On July 11th 2026 I will be shaving my head and donating my hair to the cancer society. My goal is to hit $2500 or more. This will take place at our race track after the 6th race in the winners circle for all to see.

My family and friends have teased me my whole life for having the same hair cut. So I think it’s time for a change. What a better way to change things up and for a great cause.
