Owners/Fan Attendance for July 25th Race Card

Hanover Raceway Details plan for this week

HANOVER, ON – July 21, 2020 Hanover Raceway would like to announce their plan regarding having 100 guests at their facility, as mandated by the Ontario Government in Stage 3 of their Covid-19 plan for their July 25th card.

Owners with a horse racing on July 25th's card will be given from 9am on Wednesday, July 22nd, to Friday, July 24th at 9am to pre-register. They are allowed 1 owner and a guest, up to a maximum of 100 guests total. They will be required to register on our on-line registration system. This will be on a first come, first serve basis. At 9am on Friday, July 24th, any remaining spots will be released to the general public, so they may register to attend at that point and can register until 11am on Saturday, July 25th.

Masks are required to come through the entry checkpoint and interacting with staff, but are not currently required in an outdoor setting while on the premises, as long as individuals are practicing social distancing, which is a mandatory (6.5 feet apart) at all times. Use of all hand washing stations frequently is encouraged to limit the spread of the virus.

Temperature checks and a questionnaire will be conducted with all guests entering the premises.

2 BETTING WINDOWS / Food / Drink

Hanover Raceway will have 2 betting windows open this week for customers, as well as some food and beverages (water, pop and beer and coolers) available on the Tarmac area. They will all be located outside. We will unfortunately not have Free Wifi available at this time.

"It was a great first week with fans, with no issues and everyone socially distancing and enjoying their experience. We'll enhance that this week with betting available from two windows and food and beverage available as well. We're excited to have the Dream of Glory Eliminations this week." commented Hanover Raceway General Manager Steve Fitzsimmons.
