Hanover Raceway celebrated its 50th Anniversary of pari-mutuel wagering in 2014 and the operators, the Hanover Bentinck and Brant Agricultural Society celebrated its 150th year as an Agricultural Society.
Plans are now in place for the 2015 season, which will include up to 16 days of Live Harness Racing, a 364 day a year Simulcast Lounge with wagering on tracks from all over North America, and a 365 day a year Restaurant called “The Coach House”.
Hanover Raceway is also host to the Hanover Fair which will take place on August 7-9th 2015 on the Racetrack property.
The Fair includes Homecraft exhibits, Horse shows, Beef and Dairy Cattle competitions, Sheep, Llama’s, 4-H displays, Amusement rides and games, and entertainment.
There is no admission fee for either the Hanover Fair or live horse racing, however, from time to time we host a large Concert and there is an admission charge to Concert events. Some of the bands we’ve hosted in the past include Paul Brandt, Emerson Drive, The Trews, David Wilcox, etc. For more details on the Hanover Fair check out their website www.hanoverfair.ca
